EPISODE 2 REVIEW Marveling over Ms Marvel
EPISODE 2 MS MARVEL REVIEW
Like Kamala's bracelet unlocked some power within her, I think Ms. Marvel has unlocked the reviewing power within me.
This is my second review for the new marvel show, and frankly, I'm surprised by my initiative. Woohoo, go me I guess.
Welp, onto the meat, ngl, I was rolling my eyes when Kamran showed up and I thought the show was going the route of 'cool guy, girl, nerd' love triangle. Sooo, expectations pleasantly subverted.
(Text in image: I spent way too long on this to express my mild distaste for unnecessary love triangles)And also, is it just me who thinks the detective guy is the same one from No Way Home? That guy who tricked Ned? Comment below and tell me if you think they're the same. Nevertheless, he's established himself as the 'un trustworthy authority' so let's see if his (and the lady detective's) goals are nefarious.
There's a conflict building with Bruno and Caltech, and I stg, if he stays and his reason is smth like "it's cuz I love you, Kamala." I am going to scream SIIIIIIIMP at the TV. Isn't the whole point of a coming-of-age story to.... Come of age???
It was entertaining to watch Kamala use her powers, since she still is an amateur and you can definitely see yourself doing the same things she does. I've always loved it when media show an amateur hero trying stuff out, no fancy flips or fancy assassin training, because I could definitely nod along and say "yep, that's what I would've done/how I would've acted."
Overall, the ending of the episode provided an intriguing cliffhanger, and I eagerly await more.
