''Review: Harry Potter Prisoner Of Azkaban''.... Escaped felons, Rats And Soul Sucking Kisses.

Welcome to my blog where I help you navigate your way through the must-read books and bogus reads out there. Today I am reviewing the third Harry Potter book in the series- 'Prisoner Of Azkaban'
MY THOUGHTS
Like the previous HP book, this book started with some funny magical mischief which resulted in Harry leaving his relatives home and accidentally summoning the Knight Bus- a purple, triple Decker bus for transporting magical beings. In this scene we also get a first glance at the supposed 'Grim' who 'haunts' Harry throughout the year.
This book is also the first, where we're introduced to the dementors- terrifying, phantom-like guards of the wizarding prison- Azkaban who were temporarily residing at Hogwarts because a dangerous 'criminal' by the name of Sirius Black was the first wizard to escape from Azkaban!
Turned out [typically] he wanted something to do with Harry .
The way J.K Rowling described the dementors, I thought of a skeleton donning a black blanket with a hole for it's mouth then JKR proceeded to make them more horrible by making the dementors feed on happiness [and the occasional soul]
I also started to sort of dislike Severus Snape more due to the fact that he held grudges like there's no tomorrow!
For me this book dragged on till until the end where things became fast, nevertheless I enjoyed it :3
My favorite lines in the story are- "She's either bought a really big cat or a very small tiger." and ''Is that really what my hair looks like from behind?''
MY RATING
This book contained time-travel , mystery, slight horror and self-discovery but was a little slow for my liking, nevertheless the pros outweigh the cons so I give this book- 4 1/2 out of five.
